I was wondering if maybe I couple swap my sohc for an engine outta a gst eclipse. Would my tranny run a turbo'd engine like that?

I don't think that would work, I think the intake is backwards on the eclipse motor, something is if I'm wrong someone correct me.

The engine is similar but at the same time much different...won't work without tons of fabrication

i think the gst motor spins opposite doesnt it? maybe thats just a honda thing. its not worth all the fabrication to get a lame 2.0 eclipse motor in when its a direct swap to do a well built srt internalled stratus 2.4l, its cheaper and has a following already.

The trans is on the passengers side.

The 4G63 DOES NOT FIT! It doesn't even have the same bolt or crank pattern that our cars do, so you would need a GST trans. Then you would need to figure out a way to orient it, because obviously, the trans is on the opposite side. And to figure out all of that is a lot of work, then all the custom fabrication, but physically, yes it would fit.

Since we're talking about swaps....is it possible to put the new 6.4 srt hemi into my neon if I have the matching skim/key/pcm and full harness? will that work with my stock cluster?
