DCR is currently working on a 2.4 sohc conversion kit. It is on their website with no price. I emailed them saturday, still waiting for response.

No prob, i was just busting balls. I'm actually surprised DCR is doing this. sure if there is money to be made....
even though i had all the parts to do it, at the last minute i decided to go DOHC.
it just didnt make sense for me to go SOHC 2.4 with the extra cost and work to make the same or less WHP unless it was to fit within some race class restrictions.
for example the first SOHC 2.4 we have seen built over on neons.org it was for a dirt racer i believe.
If i recall correctly the 2.4 bottom end wasn't exactly legal but staying SOHC allowed aftermarket cams where as DOHC did not.
Its still a neat idea though. and i certainly dont argue or disagree with anyone doing it just because. I think sometimes that "just because" attitude leads to interesting things. like motor LSX motor swaps in strange cars like Geo trackers

I like to see different, even though it may not be something I would ever do. It's cool just to sit back and watch people bust their balls building something no one or very few people have done before. If it pays off and there is a good outcome, people will praise the idea. If it is a fail, the builder will hear it from all the assholes out there who play follower.

a little late, that very same person posted the same engine in this thread already. No one doubts it can be done or has, its been done at least 2 maybe 3 times that Ive seen online. but it seems this person disappeared when everyone questioned this "swap"
I call shenanigans until i see more proof. then and only then will the O.P get kudos and maybe a cookie
