Casper.... will i get it on the road by 2011'?

Post by Ianguilly » Sat Oct 09, 2010 5:40 pm

Well put a deposit down for A 99' white dodge sport coupe. My dad will pick it up monday i'll get better pics when i can, but now for the good and the bad

The good:
-Its a sport coupe
-Power everything ( and it all works)
-Power sunroof ( yep that works too)
-good white paint all around
-dark agate interior in great shape
-brand new tires
-5 speed
- almost no rust
- it cost $500

...and the bad:

-Engine doesn't run
-silly 90's stripes on it
-200,000+ miles

My plans for it now, just get it running.. and thats it. I want to keep this one stock cuz it is way to nice to hack up.

Hopefully i can get it running in time for "i love taco's very very very much night" up in Indy, but will see

My friends 99 expresso has the same hubcaps. Plain white coupes are super sexy, ditch the decals and surfboard. Either way good going on scoring a newer neon.

I do want to ditch the graphics, but i have a soft spot for surfboards so thats gonna stick around. Hopefully you'll see it in person the 29th.

now why would you go and buy a NEON with 200,000 miles on the motor? and your gonna get it back running? your wasting your time and efforts neons are not at all reliable. at least do a motor swap because the shell is in good condition

The definition of a NEON
A great domestic compact car whose rapidly disappearing taillights are most typically seen through the windshields of Honda Civics, Chevy Cavaliers, and other assorted shitboxes.

Hey there princess I suggest you read the o.p.'s first post again and look at all the good. When you find a cheap clean neon why not try to fix it, then if all else fails you can get a new motor cheap. Atleast rebuilding the original motor you know what you fix, unlike buying a used motor, you have to hope the seller is honest.
