Need help estimating my hp level

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons? just anything that is generally "engine" specific.

132 on a sohc which is probably a 95 rating and 150 on an overrated dohc its probably more 145 like the 140 hp eclipse 420a

I highly doubt that I had only 95 to begin with as I was faster than Golf 2 GTI's (115 hp) in pure stock form.

I meant like the rating of 132 is probably of the 95 year neons, with the hotter cam but with alot of cars they are never really rated at what they really are

That's why it sucks not having a dyno available as you're going trial and error and shooting in the dark. Rhaaaaaaaaaa.

I was skeptical at first (how can 3mm change anything) but the ATX TB make the low revs come up faster and the exhaust setup (your header/no cat/petey's muffler) changes the car.

Add in 120 lb of weight redux, KYB's and Eibach's and it's a totally different car than stock.

Add an udp, cam, ported head, and a better intake, and you'll be on your way.

errr, wrong. You wont gain hp you keep your engine from having to turn those accessories but you will not GAIN hp. Your car will rev quicker and feel more free.
Wtf.??? Ever hear of parasitic loss ! Accessories require energy to run, energy that would normally be used to , um I don't know, move the car forward. Us normal folks measure that energy as Horsepower. Let the flame war begin.......
