i was thinking about getting the kirk longtube header put that on, ditch the cat and the rest of the piping and put a 24 or 36 inch cherry bomb in the tunnel with a turn down or a side exit would this net me ANY gains or am i going to just have a car that sounds like a drunk pissed off bumble bee on crack

I ran kirk longtube, no cat, stock piping to stock DOHC muffler and it sounded alright. Sorta raspy when you got on it but the intake side was louder anyways so I couldn't hear it lol.

I didn't really like the raspiness but function over form, it was quick with that setup and the 2.4. It'll be much faster next time I swap engines though

I run a Kirk>Moroso Spiralflow>Stock Dohc Muffler. Sounds real good, not raspy at all!

Modern Performance LTH on a DOHC 2.0, Stock head and block, 60 MM TB and a P'nP'd DOHC intake w/ plenum spacer and TB spacer. The pipes are OE with a 31" Thrush glasspack, no cat, and exits out the driver's side of the car at the rear bumper.

It's a little loud, lol. It's suprisingly quiet IF you keep the throttle opening small, but blip the throttle and it's all over.

im running an afx longtube,no cat,and an apexi n1 catback and when ur on the gas it sounds pretty good. kinda loud but not stupid loud. its when u lift off the gas and let the car slow down threw a gear it gets insane loud. its got that "old airplane falling out of the sky sound" i like it because u can keep it decent if u try but if u feel like freakin out old people or setting off car alarms it does that with ease
