Take it it's a 4 door, 2 door is 11.2 gallon, although model year may make a diff., usually it has something to do with the pipe that runs into your gas tank, there is a name for it and I can't remember what it is. My work van does it every now and then, I just pull the gas nozzle out and just pump a little slower until it clicks. Try that, I took my van in and they couldn't do anything to fix it just told me to do what I just said, hope this helps, good luck.

Is your light coming on? Even if the needle has been tampered with and not set correctly the low fuel light should still come on with somewhere around 2 gallons or less depending on tank size. When you fill up where is your needle sitting?
