just so you know, you didn't really gain any power from those "mods"

maybe a hair with the muffler but probably not.

Everyone is going to suggest swaping to a manual trans. You are pretty stuck with an auto unless you go through it.

Running rich and revving higher will do you no good on a stock powerplant.
Running rich may even cause you to lose power. Revving higher does no good because the DOHC Mopar pcm raises it to 7,600rpm. Your power starts to decline about 6,600rpm, or less.

Stock DOHC Atx pcm still brings you to 7,250 rpm. Still not a good thing.

IMO, DOHC have way more mods. Cams or Turbo with Full P/P onIntake mani, and both intake and exhaust ports in the head. Also, for n/a, long tube headers add more power than most others. if not all. But, with any amount of work and time, a SOHC can be modified to be a beast aswell

If you think reving higher is automatically a good thing then you need to learn a little about cars.

It's not always about how high you rev, it's where you make the power. So buzzing an engine to 7300+ when the power falls off at 6300 is silly.

lol im sure he could handle that with ease!
if you want some simple mods get a 3.0 intake (i have some fs if you want em) also try a header. but before you just start buying parts i would suggest to read up as much as you can and figure out what your goals are and how much you want to spend etc.

that will add throttle response but wont help much if any on a stock motor performance wise.

Please don't buy a Ebay Cold air intake. You have a auto which murders performance in the neon IMO. But you can go with a header a throttle body spacer and MAYBE a under-drive pulley. I think you would be happy there find you some 2awg wire and put your battery in your trunk and run a good cold air. Look into a 5 speed swap though.
My sohc runs good mid 15s should i do dohc?

for the love of GOD plz dont put a ebay CAI as he said lol they would do more damage then good. go to jy and get a 3inch intake tube from a chrysler 3.0 thats the best and first mod ppl usually do.
underdrive pully, lowering springs, exhaust.
im selling my kirk LTH still if anyones interested.

FWIW a DOHC ATX computer has the same rev limit as a SOHC ATX computer.

But I dont think the OP is an active member anymore. So there is no point to this thread

Who's NYG is that? That is a shame. No NYB+G neons should look like that...

But that is the cheapest way to do an intake. It will be 5xbetter than stock
