ACR numbers
Ok so I can find how many were built for bith Dodge and Plymouth..but what I want to know is how many were Plymouth? I'm gonna guess not many. Anyone know how I can find out?
I have a '97 2dr plymouth ACR. I ran the vin thru decoder on neon.org nad it says base plymouth neon. I have koni's, 2 cam, fr nad rear sway bars..no fogs. So Im sure its an ACR.
this is what vin decoder says:

Belvidere, IL (USA)
Plymouth
Passenger Car
Active Restraints, Dual Front Airbags
Neon [US/ Canada/ Export]
Base model
Neon Coupe
2.0L DOHC
9
1997
Belvidere, Illinois - US/Canada/Export - MATCHED
158836
Valid checkdigit match: 9

I don't believe there are any published breakdowns on this. Might want to try getting in touch with DCX somehow. I would like to know this as well since I also have a '97 ACR coupe.
(as a side note, my '97 ACR came from the factory with Plymouth badges but a Dodge VIN)

Thats kinda funky? was it a screw up at the dealer? Mine is Plymouth all the way. I'm kinda figuring that it would be either 50/50 Dodge/Plymouth or more dodge, since Dodge is there racing division. Im not sure who to contact at DCX, just a general email maybe? dunno. Im kinda surprised there are not any ACR neon owners clubs around.

My car has had so many things changed i don't think I'll ever know if it was an ACR. About the only thing definate is that it does not and never had A/C. I think the original bumper had the foglight holes based on the wear marks i can see on the frame rail thingy under the radiator in the area of where the fog lights used to be. Also the guy I got it from said it had a DOHC motor in it but that motor blew so he put the ECU and motor and stuff from a SOHC in because it was cheaper.... Maybe I'll try the VIN decoder and see what it says.

Yeah that only breaks down by coupe or sedan and year, not whether is is Plymouth or Dodge.

That's funny because when I was at Northgate, a Caravan came off the truck with Town and Country badges on the liftgate.Vinny wrote:I don't believe there are any published breakdowns on this.
