The stock sohc neon has a bout 112 at the wheels, and dohc has about 128. With a decent turbo manifold, 2in intercooler piping, a aluminum cold air intake to the turbo, a larger thottle body, and a decent intercooler you could easily hit the 200whp mark. If not 220, because 250 at the flywheel is about 220 at the wheels. Im running a garrett 14g with 8psi and will be looking at about that mark.
My sohc runs good mid 15s should i do dohc?

My 2.0L DOHC made 179whp and 180wtq at 8psi with an SRT turbo. This was with 2.5in intercooler tubing, 60mm TB, ported stock manifold, stock SRT-4 DP, stock exhaust with a Thermal rear section, and stock internals. AFR's stayed in the 11's with a Vortech SFMU and 36lb injectors. I don't want to kill your dreams, but your probably not going to make much more power than that unless you turn up the boost.

About a year later, I returned to the same dyno and put down 298whp and 296wtq with forged internals (lower compression), a ported head, MS controlling fuel and spark, and the SRT turbo pushing 16psi.

That's why it was a high number. Mustang dyno's always yield significantly higher results than Dynojets.
False. At least in my experience. Granted, I guess it depends on the model.
But most Dynojets I've seen read a bit higher than Mustang Dyno setups. Really though, doesn't matter much. Trap speeds generally give a good indication. My 104.xx times, with 3200 lbs car w/driver = 270 whp....
We're all crazy, it's just a matter of degree.

Most people who have dyno experience seem to agree that Mustang dynos crap out high numbers. And, yes, Ive used both. Track numbers are good, but there is always human error and the fact that not everybody takes their car to the track.

Lol, SAFC to tune a turbo'd 1st gen. Good luck with that.

That makes absolutely no sense. An SAFC is a tuning device.

Don't forget the stickers and decals that add horsepower.

I've had good luck on one turbo 1gn neon and two 2gn Eclipses with 420a and hahn turbo kits doing air fuel ratio corrections with safc and wideband. I call that tuning.

The S-AFC cannot be used to accurately tune part throttle boost with the Neon PCM and it's MAP sensor. It's been proven time and time again.
