Fidanza makes a short throw shifter and i know that ya know that ,but is it worth the money to get just the shifter rod or the whole shift kit (pre-made brackets and the whole 9 yards)

if it all the same.. i want to go with findanza ( unless somewon is selling one or can show me the light to another company's shifter)

this is gong into a 1st gen neon ( 95 neon non mod) with a stage 3 clutch and lightin flywheel

if i can find out some good information, i wil be ordering it tomorrow.

thanks

go with a Maddog STS. http://maddogsts.com/

Way better than a fidanza.

I will vouch, I have used the Maddog and its a kick ass piece. Very well built and can customize it to your liking.

I agree. At the time I was in high school and I didn't have any money, but my dad has a welder and I had the time to do it. Maddog has a lot more R&D into his products than I do. I am looking into adding rod brakes to my shifter as well, though. :)

The Fidanza, and others like it are a short shifter, not a short throw shifter. The Maddog shifter reduces fore and aft throw and side to side movement. The Maddog also has the rod brake option, which prevents transaxle damage from "enthusiastic" use. There is no comparison, not even close.

If your referring to "roysneon" having a project log on this site I cdidn't see one. Is it on another forum? I really want to see the STS portion that your talking about....
