95 airbox

Ok I have a bit of an odd question but I know they changed the airbox after 95 to cut down on noise but from what I've read it also caused a bit of a loss in power, my question is ,I have a complete 95 sohc box, will installing it on my 98 dohc give me any sort of increase in power? I will eventually go 3.0 CAI but haven't had any luck finding a snorkel in a wrecker around here and thought since I have it it might be worth trying out. So has anyone ever swapped in a 95 airbox and what were the results?

Never used a stock air box on other years. Gotta say I love my 95 sohc, it's a very streetable ride.

I had a 96 dohc but junked it. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to swap out. Give it a shot and report back.

Btw, I have a dohc CAI in my garage. PM me if you want it
