witch of these is the oil line supposed to go to?
Depends if you want the oil pressure switch to stayJbrown wrote:doesnt it have to be t'd off?
do you have to tap it or just pull a bolt out to use the water hole?DOHCRT wrote:The plug under the core plug at cylinder #2 is a water jacket. This is used for the coolant feed to the turbo. The sensor that is closest to the flexplate/flywheel is oil pressure. The thread for the oil sensor is 3/8 NPT, so you need a 3/8 NPT tee to keep the factory oil switch or use a gauge sending unit.
nice. where is a good place to dump the water?DOHCRT wrote:Unscrew the plug that is in the hole. The hole size itself is 1/4" NPT, so get a 90 degree 1/4" NPT hose barb adapter and you can run a hose from the stock turbo coolant feed line to the hose barb.99dohcneon wrote:do you have to tap it or just pull a bolt out to use the water hole?
Not all FMU's can regulate base pressure. Base pressure is the amount of fuel pressure the fuel system is under when the turbo is not making boost.racyneon wrote:Nice writeup. Im definatly turboing my car this summer and this page helped tremendously. Just a couple questions for anyone who knows. Where do you get an fpr? Does an aftermarket fmu have one built in to it? And also where can you buy the AN fittings and connectors?
