How To: Spark Plug install/removal + Info.

This information fallows the same disclaimer as posted above.

Most of the time the plugs will stick in the socket you use to loosen them, pending your using the right one (I'll get exact stuff about that later, I'm too cold to go out in the garage).

As far as gapping goes. The gap gauge looks like a mini-swiss army knife only with a bunch of unsharpened blades. Each blade has a width that is labeled. Find the one that you need to use (Skill said it before, normally .035) and slide it between the Ground electrode and the Center electrode. If you can not fit it between the 2 because the gap is too small, then carefully bend the ground electrode to widen the gap. And in the same way that if the gap is too big, bend the electrode to resize it to the correct gap.

technically any service manual will tell you to disconnect the battery before doing any work.

but honestly ive never disconnected the battery doing any kind of work.

yes it will tell u that and no you don't need to but for safe practices i guess you should.

I've also never disconnected the battery.

now that i think about it, the only time i've disconnected the battery was when i was replacing my O2 sensors.

What about removing dash pieces including the cluster?

I don't but to be 100% safe you should disconnect then let the car sit for 15 minutes to drain any juice that might be in the electrical system. Now if your messing with the airbags THIS IS A MUST ... or heh BOOM!
