Awesome write up. You covered pretty much everything i had questions about. So its not a good idea to do the blue wire mod them? Would it be okay to use as reference if i dont have a wideband?

Clean you wiring job up Ryan! Some electrical tape goes along way haha.
When I pass a Prius I downshift so they can hear me offsetting their "carbon footprint".

No you do not need to plug the blue wire in at all ... I'm not sure about the reference to a wideband because the safc2 doesn't provide your A/F ratio readings it only allows you to adjust them.

Tom out of anyone i would think you should know my wires are not like that. I know these are not the greatest pics, but for what they are worth see if you can even locate the wires

APEX-I AFCII / APEX-I NEO wireing diffrences!!!!!!!!

Post by shawnturbo » Wed Jun 06, 2007 11:29 pm

DIFFERNCES bettween Apex-i AFCII & the new Apex-i NEO
The wire designation is for the most part the same here are the diffrences on the NEO:
PURPLE wire is NOT for knock sensor that was done away with and is now for V-Tec in, so we dont need it.
BLUE wire is NOT for o2 sensor anymore it is NOT used as it is a airflow sig input 2 for RB26DETT (nissan) motors.
There is a total of 15 wires on the Apex-i NEO a few more than the old AFC2.
The other wires you will NOT need for the Neon are:
BROWN/WHITE -karmen sig.
BLACK/WHITE- karmen sig.
LIGHT GREEN- v-tec vtm
PINK- v-tec out
____________________________________________________________

The ORANGE wire is for the illumination, you can hook up to a 12v wire that has power only when the lights are on so display dims at night. Its not manditory to hook this one up but may be a good idea to you.
Lastly the RED wire has a new buddy a RED/WHITE wire they both get hooked to IGN. POWER.
The rest will follow the How To in this forum:
GREEN-RPM
GRAY-THROTTLE
BROWN-GROUND remember this wire 1in. closer to PCM than black wire!!
BLACK-GROUND
WHITE-AIRFLOW AND PRESSURE SIGNAL INPUT(MAP)
YELLOW-AIRFLOW AND PRESSURE SIGNAL OUTPUT(MAP)
