information code plate on the radiator core support is the only other thing than the vin that I know of to give any information on equipment.

Some had them , some did not. The old 95 sport I had did have on on the core support. The 98 coupe, 99 that I sold both did not. I think the early cars had them, latter did not. Just like the vin etching on the strut tower, newer had them , older did not. But if you look around the last 8 of the vin will be on the rear passenger side frame rail (behind the wheel) right under the cowl on the passenger side, and a few other places.

If you want a summary of what options came with your car , Just go to the dealership and they can print up a summary report on dealer connect (If it's still called that. It'll show all the options, plus their codes that go with them.) Used to do this all the time when I worked at Dodge

My 95 has both the build plate and the strut tower etching.

Guess I'm wrong... The 95 I had was a Mexico car, that could explain it.

Mexican built cars have the plate on the radiator support. Belvidere cars do not. Easy.

Putting a fender tag on a Neon that never had one doesn't really make much sense.

Thanks Jeff, forgot about that (even though just about everything else from Jeeps to Sebrings had the tags).

And if you have a 5 Speed you should buy your shifter bushings from this guy ... :D

Yeah, Belvidere Neons won't have the tag, you're more correct. I wouldn't know if what's coming out of BAP now have tags.

As far as actual paper "build sheets" like you'd find in older cars under a seat or under the carpet, they don't leave those in cars anymore that I know of. Not Neons anyway.

Gm leaves their brodcast sheets in the cars, but we usually toss them during the PDI. Like on the CTS' , sometimes you'll still see part of a different braodcast taped to the bottom of the spare tire well.

Now that really confuses me since my car is from Belvidere, Illinois. its a 95 sohc mtx. My ex-girlfriends 91 Taurus had a complete build sheet under the rear seat. It was marked which spare tire it got, gear ratios, brakes, all the interior options. Just like the 73 charger I had, except my 73 had the wrong sheet in it. That sheet went to another vin which was a common mistake back then I sent that sheet to Galen Govier who offers a service to reunite build sheets with their matching cars.
