Post by jwalker » Fri Mar 09, 2012 3:14 pm

i recently got one of those four in one tachs put in my 1999 dodge neon . all of my dash gauges are all messed up now. when my cars off the service engine light is on and also my air bag light stays on, the needle for the fuel stays all the way up but if the car is on all the gauges are down.if i turn my signal light on instead of the green arrow blinking its either the check engine light or the high beam light blinking WTF!!.and if i turn the light switch on the only light that comes on is the tach lights!! someone help me!!!!!

I almost guarantee that is your issue...mine did the same thing when I installed some gauges and hooked up the ground in a bad spot. Where did you install the ground for the new gauge?

97-99 are compatible....although I'd still like to know where you grounded the gauge

not to sound like a broken record but you need to check your grounds....my car did the exact same thing when I hooked up my gauges and shared a ground point with the dash ground behind the radio.

You may just want to put the original back, I had hid's and the pass. side kept blowing fuses. Once I took them out it was fine, I do agree with srt4eh it more than likely is a ground or loose connection but until you can take time to get thorough with it I would switch back to the original.

If not the grounds... I'd check your ignition switch. ;)
