me heat wont work

im not sure if this is the right section to post this, but i have a 1998 dodge neon r/t and the heat does not wanna work, i know it had a bad thermostate and i just replaced it tongiht, let the car warn up, and still it threw cold air, there is no ac in the car either, so what do you guys think the issue could be?

Sounds like a clogged heater core? you sure the coolant is full? If the coolants full and no leaks I would suspect your heater core.

its my dads daily driver and he said it must be leaking somewhere as he has to put coolant in it every day, but i recently replaced the radiatior so i guess i gotta go hunting for the leak

I'm sure if there's a leak there's an air bubble trapped in the system somewhere. Fix the leak, bleed the system out, and unless the heater core is clogged to shit, it should work.

found its leaking from the water pump, and needs a new timing belt, anyone wanna help? im in the northwest burbs of chicago
