That was what i thought. I wasn't considering going any higher than $2200 TOPS.

Turns out the Light Iris car didn't sell afterall. I might go offer him $1300 for it tomorrow after work. Yeah he's shady, but the carfax did check out. The car is damn clean for the money.

Went with cash in hand to buy the light iris car today, but it was gone. Oh well, wasn't meant to be I suppose.

The search continues.

yeah I wish I had time for a fixer-uper.

That second one is new, haven't seen that yet.

I have a lead on an R/T, guy I work with's buddy just had it given to him, not sure of its condition though or if it is for certain for sale.

Is it generally considered to be true that the Belvedere Neons are higher quality than Toluca cars?

Yes, I've always heard that the Illinois cars tend to have less problems than the Mexico cars.

Hopefully that lead on the R/T works out, buddy deals and turn out to be steals sometimes. Is it a sedan? What color?

I would never buy a Mexico made neon again, my sport has only been problems for the last 4 years. That's why I'll be selling it soon. That 97 in Lawrenceburg would be a good deal at $800.

I want something a little nicer than the one in L-burg.

I don't know much about the R/T yet, supposedly a white coupe.

These are both each only 25 min from my Dad's place, he could look at them and I have plans to go up there in two weeks, but I dunno how I would get the thing back to Cincy.

The second one I don't know yet if it is MTX, but they usually say when it is an auto.

Something just occurred to me.....

I have (left from my ACR):

pedals
shift cables
shifter
shift boot
shift knob
axles
tranny mounts
tranny-to-block braces

Wouldn't I pretty much only need a tranny, clutch, clutch cable, flywheel and ECU to do the swap? Are those bolt-on bobble strut brackets still available? That could really open up my options, and the time spent on the swap wouldn't be much more than I could potentially spend driving out of town to get something.

Ever try Jacks parts on kellogg? They had a bunch of neons the last time I went, but couldn't spot a mtx though.

Jacks is bad lots of stolen cars and a PITA to pull stuff out of cars. I went to u pull and pay yesterday they had a few neons but I dont think any MTX. I also went to Besslers in Hebron and they have an 97 ACR but I took all the good stuff that was left, it still has one koni and rear swaybar. But I do think they have a MTX there I would call and check.
