So my Dad says if I buy a car in Y-town while I'm up there I can just leave my 95 with him and he'll sell it for me. If I don't get anything up there I think I will more seriously search for a clean low-mile auto car to swap.

I got to see the RT the guy I work with's buddy has. It's a blue coupe with the stripes, 98k miles, clean with just one ding in the rear quarter, I didn't see what options it has. It's not actually for sale, but the guy who owns it is supposedly 400lbs and hardly fits in it, is broke, and doesn't keep cars long. Dude I work with is gonna find out whats up.

Even tonight I was running through the gears on some twisties in my 190k mile '95, I can't imagine how fun it will be to have a nice Koni-equipped RT for a daily.

Louie (dude I work with) told the guy I'd give him $2k right now, but he said he wanted to fix some things on it before he sold it. I guess they put new struts on it over the weekend (blah I have Konis for it) and he says there is some sort of issue with the drivers seat he wants to take care of (I have a full set of clean tango highline seats). The owner said he'd probably be ready to let it go in a month.

I'm pushing for the guy to stop working on it and just sell it to me, I'd rather buy it now and take care of the stuff on my own. I long to be rockin a low, clean RT with some boltons.

2.4 swaps don't generally have AC though do they? I need something with cold air, or at least an intact AC system I can have repaired if need be.

i used the superD mounts, ac is working but leaks down over time. ive got some stop leak stuff im gonna try, otherwise ill just not use it like every other 1g ive owned. but yes, it has ac and ps both.

RumbleFish, are you the one in Indiana, with your car posted on neons.org and Indy craigslist?

Basically if I ended up buying a car with non-functioning AC I was going to take it to a reputable shop and pay to have it fixed right.

yes, thats me. its in fs section here too. the ac works for a while, until it leaks out enough that it wont kick the compressor on. should be an easy fix once the source of the leak is discovered. i really need to make it go away, help me out homeskillet.

Still can't find shit! The only nice cars are autos, the only 5-speeds are all $800 junk not really any nicer than what I have. Then there's the rare car that does not have items I require such as A/C or rear-defrost, and I did find a 52k mile loaded amethyst coupe but it needs the drivers door replaced.

If I can't find anything in the next few weeks I may have to explore options other than a 1st gen *gasp*
