Engine stand
Engine stand
What engine stand do you guys have or use? What weight does yours hold and such? Are there really any big differences in any of them?

The one I bought is from Harbor Freight. Got it on sale 2 years ago for $40 I think.

My buddy just picked one up from Farm and Fleet:

I need to get one soon too, maybe I'll go get that last one today at farm and fleet. I'm bored as hell and need to tear down one of my 2.4's soon so I can put it back together.
My first one is in Madison with a Hayabusa engine on it...
With Neon engines weighing like 250 pounds, you don't need anything special. I prefer the ones with 4 wheels instead of 3 (Harbor Freight sells a 750 pound one for $35-40 but I got the 4 wheel one for same price when it was on sale).
To mount them, I just use 2 headbolts for the top, and on the bottom you just need 2 bolts long enough to pass through the bottom holes where the bellhousing bolts to, and then a nut. Headbolts work here too, but 2 nuts from hardware store work to hold it tight.
We had to rig some stuff up for the Busa engine since it includes the transmission bolted to it but it sits solid.

I just picked up the one from Farm and Fleet for $55 today, put it together, and mounted a 2.4L short block to it already. Gonna tear it apart soon

Thanks Tyler, got me motivated to finally go buy one and start tearing my 2.4 down.

I got a basic 3 wheeled one from harbor freight and waited till I got a coupon for like 30% off so after taxes it was like 25 bucks and held up my 2.0 just fine

I got a 4-wheel from harbor. Works great. Never had a problem. A little hard to spin the motor on it as it's metal to metal on the swivel part. Wish it had a bearing or something on there.

Careful eyes will notice a very rare and expensive engine in the background.

Talk of ATXs is prohibited on neons.org, it is blasphemy and will invoke the wrath of the MTX elitests.
