Whats wrong with this picture?
I'll give you a few hints.
1. Its the PGT at idle. (Note the top left and lower middle gauges.)
2. Its got a strong vacuum even tho cylinder 2 is shot. (lower right gauge.)
3. sense its at idle the speed and accel gauges are 0.

Oh yeah... updates, lol

Ordered JE 10.5:1 pistons w/rings and Eagle rods.
Lubing will be provided by a melling oil pump.
A full gasket set and a blue gates timing belt to wrap the AEM tru time gear.
A MPX 60mm TB.
A red MSD Coil pack and Granatelli wires.
The shorty Hedman header is waiting in the corner.
Ordered a UDP but found out it was for a 2GN when it arrived, so its going to be resold sense its of no use to me.
* Looking for a SOHC no-90* manifold, But I might build a getto blaster.

Now here is the dilemma, I have a 95 cam, but leaning to using a magnum cam and springs, and yes Ill be doing the head work (P&P) Ill even be cleaning up the ports in the block.

Ideas on a color for the block and V-cover?

What goes in must come out.

Image

With the 60mm MPX TB and a Boxed manifold that Hedman header will work just fine.

Found out what my CTS issue was all about. lol
Image

Brand new BWD cam sensor, 45 bux, and the blasted thing is in two pieces. need to find the receipt.

The dismantling of the old motor...

The carnage!!!!

Image

That piston stuck/melted into the cylinder wall. :-(

Image

The rings dont move on this side, they are welder and apart of the piston now, see the section missing from the hat? thats whats on the cylinder wall.

Image

There is going to be a little work done to this head, lol

We will see what the machine shop says on what magic they can do to the block.

suxz man. now finding a good block is going to be the key... if you can, try and find a dohc block, i've read somewhere they are a bit stronger, but not sure how reliable that is... good luck on the hunt.
It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom!
