Post by 08kgraves » Wed Aug 17, 2011 9:03 pm

ok, just figured i would start a thread so everything with my neon can pretty much be together. here.

here was my neon when i first got it.

Image

this is how both of the front rotors were when i changed them

Image

new door to replaced the smashed one

Image

traded my buddy hoods. which his car blew up shortly after

Image

went to check my front brakes and snapped off 8 out of the 10 lug studs.

Image

pulling the motor after i snapped the timing belt. bought a whole nother neon for $400 with a blown trans

Image

getting ready to go back in

Image

new fender to replace the one with a huge dent

Image

Image

whats the best way to get these two dents out?

Image

replaced the rear door on driver side because it was getting some rust on it. also replaced the rear bumper because it got a huge gouge in it when my brother was pushing me cus my starter died. and also traded my buddy trunk lids after his car did die lol.

Very nice. Yeah, that rubber molding sucks. I pulled mine off, but I don't think I'm going to "shave" it. It's going to take too much work.

I was very much considering shaving the trunk key. It's very ugly.

I'm leaving the brake light because it's required. Those rotors look like hell. I don't even know how they got like that...

neglect, plane and simple thats how i got it at roughly 100,000 miles. and my uncle neglected it when he borrowed it from my grama. for about 50-55,000. and technically wherever you are if it was made with a third light its supposed to stay on but they dont care in ohio. i shaved the third light off my truck to. never even been mentioned when pulled over.

Best way to fix those piller dents is to grind the dent down to bare metal, and use a stud gun puller to pull the dent up. Then fill the low areas with body filler and sand the area till it is level with the surrounding areas. hope this helped.

Yeah, but it's very uniform on how it broke... It doesn't make sense to me. I've seen some bad rotors and pads, but that's something odd..

You could do it the old school way and drill holes and use a rivet gun. Then fill the holes after you're done.
