I thought it could only plug in one way?
it does fit in the cluster either way but this is the wright way..
the connector piece that locks it into a srt dash should be on the bottom

hope this helps someone..

went out and flipped it sure enough everything works ohhh yeah Im fully operational just got to get the body work done now boys :yahoo:

I feel kind of dumb about it but whatever it has been a learning experience for sure and I figure no one thought to even mention that onetill now so its all good.

wow it has been awhile since I have updated been working on alot of little things. For starter, unfortinatly the body shop has givin me the run around to the point i dont even care about getting to the shop right now. But with the extra time I have had I have most of the bugs solved or close to. So now Im at a terrible crossroad with myself. What do I truly want the car for (other then daily driving)? Do I want a ridiculous weekend racer or do I want a fast show car? I love the look of the SRT front end but at the same time I like the (as close as I can get to) sleeper style. I really miss the car gutted with the exception of the center console dash and doors but I also like the srt rear seat. However when I put in the roll cage along with my harnesses already in it will be nothing more then extra weigh and a joke to think anyone could be back there.
Which brings me back to my thoughts of practical vs visual. If I would strip the car down again I would remove all the sound denier and clean all the goo and what not and repaint it to match the car so it would still look nice and all.... Decisions...

Anyone have any pics of a gutted neon that has had the interior repainted and looks nice?

You have a SRT swap. why do you need to remove weight and drive around something that is uncomfortable inside? I mean you have the potential for a lot more HP if you want it with the SRT swap so there is no need to remove weight to make speed.

x2 :withstupid: ... you're already several hundred pounds lighter than the SRT-4

the motor Im working on is going to have the potential of running mid 8s low 9s so I would like to seal the deal with it. Not saying I wont put the front end on just I have really lost interest in the idea of a "show car". I would rather have fun and enjoy it.

As for the front end Im sure Id let the fenders, hood, headlights, front bumper go for the rite price. But I would have to keep the radiator support so if I get a chance or decide to I can still put it on.

i say do the front end swap, but not the gutted looks. thats the great thing about a neon with 2.4 swap. they are just powerful enough to keep or beat the hondas, and still have full trim.
It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom!

8-9's in a fully loaded car is a bigger testament of speed than a gutted track only car. But 8-9's would most likely require a NHRA approved cage.
