find me a magenta neon with a good bumper and I'll buy it. I've seen a couple on craigslist with red bumpers lol.

Actually, there's a yard by Oshkosh that had a "pink" 96 Neon decklid listed on car-part.com. You should go see if it's my pink or your pink.

Yeah, too many neons. Trying to get rid of a few since the city sent my landlord a letter about them. Their main concern was the trailer. I guess I can't park it in plain site, not even the driveway. WTF is that shit? I live in an industrial park with one other house. He runs a repair shop outta his garage and has about as many or more cars as me. Otherwise there's a lumber yard and a unmanned gas station.

Oh yeah, and the school district is putting in a huge fucking road next to our house after tearing down the one that used to be there. God damn pump has been running for a week straight since they gotta cross a stream. Assholes are complaining about my driveway while doing that shit.

Yeah that's it. I looked about a month ago when my gf decided to get t-boned in her Grand Prix (what a mistake that car was) and said she needed a door. They had the door I needed there but it needed way more than a fucking door.

Check it out yet bitch?

Engine is together other than valve cover and manifolds. Gonna finish it up tomorrow and drive it to work Monday. Can't wait. I'll have to get a lawn mower battery and make a tray up for it since I sold the Iceman kit the car had last summer. Oh well, I like making shit. Gonna look into a solid side mount again like the one I had on the black car a few years ago, but it broke. This one will be stronger.

First Import Wars is April 18, I'd like to get a good set of tires for my snowflake rims. Nice wide ones up front, I got spacers and would put longer wheel studs in. It'll probably have traction problems again with the 185 firestone cheapers on the front. Nothing like hitting a 14.9 with a 2.4 60'

Would also like to find a decent box manifold and larger TB and injectors, and tune it for e85 by then, but if not I won't be too upset. I got all summer. As long as it runs in the 14's on the setup it has now, I'll be in the Super Mod class finally. Doesn't pay more and it's easier to win trophies/money in the Super Street class (especially dialing in as the fastest car), but I like a challenge.

It broke though, gotta get thicker walled tube for the bolts and gusset it a bit. Will definitely make another one though as I liked it.

Well I did get it running last night. Ran into a few things though. Had to modify the dipstick tube so I could bolt it to the block (never bothered doing that before). Wasn't too bad, drilled old spot welds off, bent up bracket, and tacked it onto tube.

Found out the PT water pump inlet has a different sized nipple for the heater line, 7/8" vs 5/8" on Neon heater core, so I had to find a way to step it down. Ran to hardware store in town, they didn't have jack shit. Ran to Menard's in Madison, about 20 minutes away. Grabbed some brass fittings. Got home, realized I grabbed 2 5/8" nipples instead of a 3/4". Ran to hardware store, didn't have that nipple. Ran to Menard's, stopped to get gas along the way and my NYG died just before gas station. Got it started again and put in a half tank of gas as I didn't feel I ran out.

Almost got to Menard's and the bitch died. Fuel pump wouldn't kick on. WTF. Check fuse, it's ok. Pop cap off fuel pump relay and squeeze it, nothing. Squeeze a few more times, and pump kicked on rather weakly. Started car, drove 3 feet and it died, but at least I was out of the way. Called my gf and she took the scenic route to get to me. Pushed car with her Neon to gas station and left it there for a while. There's almost 2 hours wasted there.

Got everything in the Pirahna, fired it up, found out I forgot to block off EGR. Didn't have time to dick with that, so I put on an EGR I had and blocked off the tube inside with a small piece of gasket. Still had to get my NYG home so I called my roadside assistance. After a half hour of being put on hold, then being re-directed to my account info and calling again, got ahold of someone. Told her to try Prairie Land Towing cuz every other time I called (4 times) and got a tow truck home, that's who they used after putting me on hold for half an hour trying to find someone. Well she told me they had to use someone from Madison since that's where my car was. Whatever, that's where my cars always get picked up. Half hour later she tells me Prairie Land is on their way. Thanks dumb bitch.

Dude shows up and says "Hey you're going to that house with like 50 Neons, right?" (I live right down road from gas station where all the city cops/ambulances and also Prairie Land Towing fills up their tanks).

So now I gotta get a ride to work since I didn't quite get Pirahna done yesterday. It's leaking coolant from my brass nipples, and I didn't quite get an intake on it. But it's 99% done.

Still gotta fab up a battery tray but I got something that works for now. It's nice that every bolt for the battery tray has snapped off in this car. Lovely.

Well I forgot teflon tape on the brass fittings, and they weren't even tight. Good thing I decided to "hide" them behind the intake manifold, cuz I had to remove the manifold to get to the fucker tonight. Drove it around a bit and got gas. Realized the plates expired in January so I gotta take care of that tomorrow after work.

Now I gotta fix the NYG.

Yeah this is the first one of mine that's gone bad. It sorta works sometimes, you can start the car up and drive it slowly but it stumbles, and then eventually it'll die. Then the pump doesn't want to come on anymore.
