Project 98 Fun!

Post by 98yoda » Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:57 pm

Well to start off this is the car:
Image
Theres no engine or trans, and the interior is almost gutted. Since theres no track anywhere near me I like to keep my cars nice, so I need to start hunting interior parts. My plans with this car are to completely strip it and have everything rebuilt or bought brand new. This is going to be my money pit for awhile. But before I tear it apart I figured I should probably piece everything together to make sure I have everything now. Although I did do this today. It went from this:

To this:

No I just gotta find rotors. And if anyones familiar with my project log on 2gn, I was working on a built 2.4. Well its going in here instead of my dd.

Update!
Ive gotten this far on the right side with the conversion:
Image
Now I just need to figure out how to get the ebrake on :-k . And I guess I have learned to never miss a day when your car is still in the shop.
Image
One of my friends was going to take the gas out of the tank for his car, and cut the hose for the filler neck instead of unbolting the clamps.
And when I was inside getting pics of the interior I noticed that the shifter wouldn't come off. Turns out the people who had it tried to make a short throw. They cut it in half and damn near welded the ball on there

Oh and the interior:

That's about all I got for now.

The shifter was from the people who owned it before so I can't do anything there. And the guy who took the gas doesn't have money at all, hence the taking of my gas. Ill end up getting it myself, easier anyways I guess.

Yea I know, im not going to complain much though. Unless it ends up costing me a :censored: load.
But what makes me really mad is when you put your block in a washer to get it all cleaned out, and the kid in your class you've always hated takes it out when your gone and doesnt doing anything to prevent this:

RUST!!!!!
Now I have to get it bored, but now worries :D. Now I'm going to have to buy the oversized pistons from MP. yay.
