96 2.4 swap

Post by rlneon » Thu Oct 16, 2008 5:22 pm

I finally found a 2.4 outta a 98 Caravan on tuesday. I had to drive like 2 hours to the junk yard to get it. I plan to do a fair amount of work to it so I will keep everybody updated.

well I have been pretty busy and havent updated in a while. I have the engine stripped to just the block. I will be sending it to the machine shop in a about a week to have the block bored .020" and the head ported and polsihed. I have also gotten a set of SRT rod waiting for JE 10.5:1 pistons. I have also started to port the intake manifold that I picked up. I will try to update again when I get more done.

Don't get the block bored out without the rods and pistons for it. It's easier for the machinist to fit the pistons to the block with both sets there.
