Post by Tyler » Wed Jan 30, 2008 10:27 pm

This isnt a neon, but the only project I have goin right now. Im rebuilding this bike to be for fun. Never really rode before so this is a first for me. Wont be racing at least I doubt it. Gotta buy some gear too!

Bike: 1993 Honda CR 125

The bike as alot of 1997 stuff on it, like plastic and such. The current mods on it are an FMF Fatty pipe, and FMF exhaust. The cylinder is getting fixed up and bored .40 over and getting a Wiesco piston put in it.

Currently painting the frame and ordered all the bearings for the bike today.

Ive seen them black and know guys around that have and they hold up pretty well. Plus if you had seen the frame before hand, it looks like new one now.

Been getting some progress done. The sub frame is completely finished, and we cleaned up the plastic. Some isnt in as good of shape as previously thought but at $20 for new stuff, its not like its a big deal.

Frame is getting painted now and it looking sick. All new bearings will be in this week sometime. Also tomorrow Im calling about the clyinder to get it so we can send it off.

Yep, my outlook on my neon is this. Im not gonna waste my money on my neon until I have the money to be financially stable while I can 2.4L turbo my car the right way cutting absolutely no corners. All this while I have another car to drive.

So Im loving this project!

With the wiseco piston and boring it over you'll notice a nice little improvement. I Blew my 125 up a while back and did the same exact thing and now it really rips!

Powercore FMF Silencer

A dent or two on the Fatty, but dents happen in the woods. Wont hurt performance any. Gettin a Mothers powerball tomorrow to help buff these up a little.
