I'm working this WE (hence my posting) so I don't have time to wash it. Next week hopefully.

It may help the tube from getting heat soked some..I agree though that it is not doing much with the filter at the back of the motor (he knows that though, there is not much he can do with amount of rain he gets there). The car is looking good..need some kind of a tire shine though.

*Edit* I should get an award for using the word though so many times in this post.

I think you should relocate your battery to the trunk, and put your air filter in the battery tray. Cooler air, more weight transfer, totally FTW.

x2

Although it's probably not worth it for a couple of HP gain. The size & length of the intake pipe has as much to do with power as the location of the filter.

One side marker broke when I painted the car and other dropped off when on the highway (wtf).

I know all about the 3.0 CAI etc... but I still have to rack my brains on how I do a version that's compatible with flash-flooding.

With a relocated battery, you can use the tube right off the tb and the filter will be right where you battery tray was. Maybe a few inches lower but if you have water that high, you need a freakin truck! lol

I think I'm getting warmed up to the idea of a relocated battery (especially as wires and such are cheap here).
