this project log is on 2gn.org and DNO, i grabbed some of the important posts and bundled them here. i keep the DNO topic the most updated because its the local crowd and its also where the car is from. im the 3rd owner of the car, all previous owners were/are members of DNO, so it definately has a bit of history.

mods that i know of:
2000 stratus 2.4L motor, 2.4 mount adapter, mopar pcm, blackdog motorsports long tube, 2.5" piping, apexi muffler,solid mounts/inserts, apexi safc2, iceman cai, powerslot rotors, hawd pads, prothane, bushings (entire kit), 16" motegi rims, 15" snowflake rims (previously mine), autometer gauges (Oil PSI, Water Temp), sparco pedals, sparco hood pins, A/C delete, P/S Delete, TTi UDP, walboro fuel pump, crane 18 cams, crane cam gears, battery relocated to trunk, front tow hook

plans:
SRT-4 Turbo :D

parts i have so far:
SRT-4 Oil Pan, Exhaust Depot Windage Tray/Scraper, Stage 1 SRT-4 Injectors, Spare 2.4L Stratus Block/crank/pistons, IPP SRT Style CF Hood (unsure if it will clear the 2.4 tho, but lets hope, and its a little faded so i hope it doesnt look terrible on a black car)

also notice the car came with no front swaybar :roll: :roll:

got the engine on the stand thanks to my cousin, and removed the oil pump, pan, pickup and pistons and rods. also took a stab at mounting the SRT IC i have for mock up, cut too much material on the driver side so im gonna have to figure out something or weld some metal back there so i can bolt both mounting points to the car, other side went quite well.. then i notice the stock bumper didnt fit without having to cut it and well.. my sawzall blades arent good enough to chew thru the metal so gonna have to figure something out.

Hell yeah, black coupe FTW!!!

And yeah tearing apart the interior blows chunks. It's easy to get out but then you decide to take a permanent break from it.

havent updated this in awhile (main log is on detroitneonowners.org under project logs)

as of last week the dash is back out (removed it as one unit this time.. takes me like 5 mins to pull the dash :D) so i can remove the rest of the sound deadener.

since last post block came back from machine shop, has been POR'd and assembled. got a manual steering rack and non-a/c heater core, JE 8.5:1 pistons on stock SRT rods, trimmed stock bumper support to clear SRT intercooler (but both my IC's are junk, one is dented and one has a hole, but they were free and helpful in mockup)

sound deadener removed, painted everything. not current pictures but were the last i shot. looks much better now (accidently grabbed a can of flat black instead of gloss but didnt realize until i used that whole can =P)

quick update.

new purchases:

01 stratus head which is the same as the SRT head (except for valve material) but works on the older 2.4 blocks with no modification.
SRT-4 Intake manifold
SRT-4 Throttle body w/ sensors
LFS Fuel Rail
Return line setup (1:1 FPR, fittings, lines)
3/8" Hard feed and Return lines
stage 2 wga (got it on the cheap :D)
srt valvecovers (got em on the cheap :D)

other than that not much else has changed, keep finding more things i need to buy and then realizing i need the $$ to do so. right now im pondering stainless 2.0 valves and a valve job.. there goes another $500. i'm almost thinking of picking up some eagle rods now since everything else is new/high quality keeping the srt rods in there seems like i skimpped.

been awhile since ive updated this, i only keep my log on dno updated.

but ive got some new goodies to share =P

recently picked up a kirk rollbar (4point with option to go 6 point if i get the door bars made)

my head is currently being full race turbo ported w/ oversized valves and combustion chamber reshaping (Eddy Fierro)
+1 intake valves and +2 exhaust valves.. being a 01 stratus head, its identical to the SRT head cept for having the older oil passage compatible with the pre-ngc 2.4 blocks. the stock intake valves are the same as the 2.0, and the exhaust valves are about 1.5mm smaller, so actually its +1 intake and +0.5 exhaust compared to the 2.0 head. +1/+2 is the usual valve size upgrade on the srt, theres only a few running +3 exhaust side due to the added requirements of new bronze guides.

Recently purchased a OBX LSD as well as a ton more AN fittings. Also getting a ported SRT Intake manifold sometime next week to match up with the ported head :)
