Project N3OWN3D - still alive and running 14's!!!

New pics cuz I finally bought batteries and found my camera cord:

Bronze rims, paint job sucks but I'm not sure if I like the color or not:

And stock R/T wheel for comparison I suppose:

Image

And a shot of the front for the hell of it, needs front turns.

Image

Oh the crap behind the front tires on the car is from the burnout box at the drag strip. I half-assed washed it last week before going to the track but I put like 600 miles on it since then and it's dirty again, I don't really care though.

Yes it needs to be lowered and the front bumper needs to be fixed but I'm not too terribly concerned with how it looks.

New engine build this fall:

Bottom end:
-2.4L (got block and crank), milled .030"
-SRT rods and pistons (got rods right now)
-SRT oil pan (got it)
-SRT oil pump (got it)
-SRT water pump (got it)
-Crankscraper for SRT pan
-Coated rod and non-coated main bearings

Head:
-DOHC head milled .040" (got it)
-Crane 18 cams (got 'em)
-AEM 3-bolt cam gears w/ Jeff B spacers
-Crower springs (got em)
-PT lifters, 2.7L rockers (got 'em)

Trans/clutch/axles:
-PT clutch
-3.94 trans with OBX diff (just need to go through diff)
-PT axle upgrade

ECU:
-Megasquirt V3.0 board, MSII chip (got it)
-Coil on plug setup
-4g63 ignitor
-Switchable between 93 Octane and E85
-2-step, shift lights, lots of goodies lol
-JAW wideband

Misc:
-Prothane front bushings (got 'em)
-20mm adjustable rear sway bar and 22mm front (already on car)

Shooting for 185-190 whp and 165 wtq on E85, should be good for 13.5 on street tires, I might get slicks eventually for my 2 spare R/T rims. Engine will be built by Xmas, suspension and axles will be in by then as well. Going to get the SOHC running fully on MS by end of October, hopefully by the 13th so I can try something cool out at GLD for Import Wars but we'll see.

Lol fine I'll put up what I have so far, which isn't much. My stupid fricken laptop died and that's where I put my pics.

Here's the car:

Image

Day after I got it lol.

Here's the mount I already made:

Rest of car is nothing special, just a 2.4 swap and a header and udp. I'll put up pics when I start making some more parts. Tuesdays I have metals class for 4 hours a night and we got tig welders and shit there so I'll make the manifolds and mounts there. I'll get around to putting MS in, probably 2 weeks or so. It's cold out yet and I don't feel like messing with it now.

Ya the other one leaked a lil bit (or alot lol) and the thing was overheating at the track cuz the shit would just spill out. Had a Dew so I used that. Put the cover on it 2 weeks ago cuz I had a drill out to drain my trunk with (coolant bottle busted in it) and had a cap on the ground.

Converrt the 3's to E's and remove the w= neoned, now add the w back in and you get neowned--- read it as ne-owned... you got it now?

sounds good chip. My biggest beef with what you want to do is this. Why do the head work and such and only put 2.0 cams in it? I know your trying to spend as little as possible but with some bigger cams, youd be happy you spent the extra cash.

Other than that looks and sounds good.

2.0 cams > 2.4 cams

its a popular mod with the srt guys. cheap too. just find someone who put a new set of cams in their 2.0 and hes set.
Please PM or email me if you see any issues with the site.

Cuz the head I have already has 2.0 cams in it and I don't really feel like spending a couple hundred bux right now. Once I get it running good with them, then I'll get some bigger cams. That part is gonna be easy, cams are simple to install (well compared to other stuff). I wanna see what it runs without spending much money. I'd stick with the 2.4 cams but I have a set of 2.0 cams so there. :)

Head prolly won't go on for a while so everything else is first lol.

I know the 2.0 cams are a popular mod. Dont they let your car rev alot higher, cuz 2.4's dont like high rpm's? I also forgot how easy it is to install cams into a dohc.
