My latest setup was Fully P&P head, Mopar dual-coil Valvesprings, Crane #14, Hedman Shorty header, Fidanza cam gear, Fidanza 2.1 clutch, 2001 bottom end(stock), ported IM, 55mm TB, 3.0 intake, SAFC...this setup got me 139whp 138wtq
The setup before that was .030" milled head, Crane #12, DOHC bottom end, Fidanza cam gear, Same header, same clutch, same intake, same TB, Mopar PCM, OBX UDP, all other bolt ons....this setup got me 127whp 125wtq

i think it was the second one u said, but y did u use a 01 bottom end isnt it the same as the first gn. anly ways thanks for the info dude. honestly though how quick was the sohc motor and was it worth the time and money u put in it?
If everything seems to be in control, you're not going fast enough.
Depends...At the time, I was having so much fun with my SOHC until people started getting faster, so I decided to go DOHC. I surprised ALOT of people in my area. And when they learned that it was a SOHC, they were speechless. lol In the end tho, I prefer DOHC. I was SOHC for as long as I was solely because I wasnt sure I could do it. Once I realized how easy it was to build, I did it. I used the 2001 bottom end because it was a low mile block with awesome condition rod bearings(I always check the rod bearings in JY motors to verify the condition).neonfighter86 wrote:i think it was the second one u said, but y did u use a 01 bottom end isnt it the same as the first gn. anly ways thanks for the info dude. honestly though how quick was the sohc motor and was it worth the time and money u put in it?
