Made my first Purchase for the sport coupe today





Saw them on Ebay.co.uk had to have them,Got them both for $40 and that shipped to America included
And to think i was just gonna meatalcast paint mine orange

let me guess the front breaks won't release.

Not sure yet i'm gonna mess with it this Wendseday and take the front wheels off, and mess with the head, i'll report my findings

The brackets that hold the front brake hoses that go to the calipers usually rust up and end up "clamping" down on the hose. This, in turn, gives the illusion of a stuck caliper. The fix is inserting a screwdriver in the gap in the bracket, twisting it, thus relieving the pressure.

Seen this happen a few times already.

Sorry for no updates not trying to make this into a project log
But There has been progress :

-the head is off, water was found in cylinder #3 but i was told that was typical of a headgasket leak, got a new set of cams to replace my scratched intake one, also got the exhuast manifold off and now working on checking for leaks in the head and how level it is. Working on getting a gasket rebuild kit for the head, and saving up for new shit to go on.
- the fugly stripes are all removed for a cleaner look
- the steering wheel was switched frome christine
- sunroof is mostly out but still needs a little work
- broke the windshield trying to take it out so now i.m 0-2 with them no big deal $50 fix
- muffler is long gone switched out for christine"s
- interior was gutted and cleaned


So now this car is turning into a bit of a tunner car now th plan for the engine is: Atx Tb, Header, polished intake, Possible iceman?, new motor mounts, msd coil....any other suggestions??

As for the rest of the car just get it looking nice for driving, new wheels are in the works, hopefully some paint touch up (thanks school!) possible DEPOS.
But i'll let you all know whats up when the next problem arises

UPDATE!!!



Well heres an update of whats been happening to the car recently
-Head is soon to be sent off for a rebuild (warpped .016 )
-waiting on timing belt, and head bolts to come in
- side molding, "sport" emblems, "sport" stripes all been removed
- door handels to be painted soon
- swapped stock seats for red R/T seats
- picked up sport wheels for it
-removed windsheild looking for a new one
-working on interior power issues
-Buying a header Thursday
-Getting intake and valve cover sandblasted soon
- Possibly getting a windshield for it Monday??? will see (right Colton??)

Sucks i never have time to work on this car...its either school this, or work that but Christmas break coming up hope to get the car on the road in early January...but then again this is the cars 3rd deadline
