Ugh! this sucks, I was suppose to be racing my buddie's 97eclipse and his cousin's 08cobalt SS TC but the damn snow is back again, I can't wait for spring it's been a long winter.

INVUJerry wrote:Sucks you don't live out here, BGE dosen't do lay-offs during the winter, they just charge both arms and both legs for electricity and gas. If I had $10-15K to drop right now I'd go with solar panels and get paid to have them. Why don't you look into being an electrician since you work for a utility company already? Get your apprenticeship with a good company and you wont have to worry about winter lay offs. I got lucky with my last job and I do fiber optical cabling installations, cat5e cable installations, and cat3 phone cable install for the DoD. Before that, I did the whole construction cabling BS, buildings with no ceilings, or dredging cable, with snow coming down. Do you like using the phone, or the internet? You're welcome.
Apprenticeships right now are almost unheard of. The waiting lists are super long and because the economy sucks, nobody is builing. Friends of mine have been on the lists for 2-3 years now. It sucks. My company fortunately has 190 Million dollars in back work this year. So my job is going to be secure for awhile.

Well today the road's were finally good enough to race a buddie with a 97 mitsubishi eclipse gst, his mod's are boost contoler, custom intercooler piping, cold air intake, cat delete/my mod's are udp, mp ecu, 55mm TB, walboro 255, a plugged cat that I can here peice's ratling around in and no muffler. First race the GST was on 15lbs. of boost which resulted in my win by 3/4 car, second race he had enough turned the boost up told me he was spiking at 18psi and holding steady around 17 psi which resulted in his win by 2-3 length's, I will post the video's once the crappy cameraman get's them on his computer since there on his camera, the only race that's a good video is the one where he was on 17-18lbs. of boost and won by 2-3 length's or so.

Tell your buddy to be careful with that dsm. A buddy of mine did the same thing. Just put a boost controller, an intake, and had an open downpipe. Cranked the boost up to 18-19, took one pull in 3rd and it was detonating and cutting fuel up top. Decided to take one more kaboom.
