I definitely think your power-to-weight ratio is better than a stock T-Bird's.

If the turbo coupe is in good running condition, hope you get the hole shot. Because once that car gets moving it's going to start moooving. It takes awhile for them to get up and go.

If it happens to be a Super Coupe, the supercharged version. And the car's in good running order, don't plan on winning. Especially if the car's been modified. My friend has a set of pulleys and some other odds and ends on his and went 14.1 in the quarter.
this is all you need to know..bored out, high compression, big cam, aviation fuel....bus lengths.

yeah sounds true, after all the V8 engine allows a lot more HP to be gained.

tho the one I raced most def was not a turbo charged one.

they never came with twin turbos only a single turbo.. they move but in stock form the neon should keep up with the turbo coupe the sc is were its at till you start modifying the v8s were detuned but of tha yr the v8s were only putting out like 220 hp or somthing like that....now with twin cams and 4 vlves a cylinder their getting to the 300whp mark... but the 6cyl sc and turbo coupse once modifyed are aq force to be reconed with... my buddy took a cobra drive train the cobra motor hade around 500whp and shoe horned it in their along with the cobra 5 speed. that thing moved.

Ive always wanted a thunderbird, older one. The V8's are beasts! It maybe pretty close.

I raced a stock Turbo coupe when my neon was stock. I beat it by atleast 1.5 cars....and I have an AUTOMATIC. pretty pitiful if you ask me. Not too impressed by them. My buddy had a super coupe awhile back it was quick, but he never took care of it and ran it into the ground.

The Turbo Coupes were not the 3.8 v6. They had the 2.3 i4. My uncle has a 86 TC sitting in his yard right now.
