me vs. Cobalt SS N/A

Post by SloUSDM20 » Sun Apr 01, 2007 12:18 am

this guy just started at my job today to replace me because im being transferred to another store soon. anyways he drives a Chevy Cobalt SS the NA version. looks really nice. well he asks me what type of car do i drive i point to it. "nice car, i dont see many hot neons around..." whatever whatever, so he asks me what im pushing and what motor and stuff like that we check each others cars out and we intiate a race after work. we race three times from a roll once and from a stop twice. from a roll im holdin him til about half way thru 2nd to 3rd then he passes me wins by 1 car. from a stop he takes me off the line(im spinning...) and by the top of third he wins by 1/2 car in both races. all he has is the ecotec 2.4 intake, full exhaust, 34 lb injectors from the SC ver., short shifter, and a minor tune. i kinda felt like shit cuz i waxed the regulars on the daily.

damn i need the Mopar PCM, 19-24 lb injectors, long tube header, and Apexi AFC really bad. and especially a good tune

The neons really don't need any more fuel unless they are boosted.

Mine runs rich as hell. Why do you think that stock plugs for most Chrysler cars are Champions? The simple answer is that they can just about fire underwater, lol.

Nope, they had

2.0L SS Supercharged - good for low 14's if any of them could drive (I've seen Skill times from them mostly so they are slow)
2.4L mtx N/A - low-mid 15's or so, again depending on driver.
2.4L atx N/A -that one is ungodly slow, like mid 16's
'97 black ACR coupe- #3 - Scrappy
'96 black coupe- #4
'97 magenta coupe- #10 - 13.379 @ 101.07 mph
'04 SXT mtx - #45 - GF's DD
'96 ACR
'95 Astro Van
'11 Chevy Express
'02 atx - #48
'98 Intense Blue R/T - #49
'04 SRT-4 - #50
'99 Intense Blue R/T - #51

52 and counting, when will it stop?

damn, if u can get a 2.4 eco 5 speed ur doin something right. Don't underestimate them, the 2.4 eco is only like 30 horse less than the 2.0 supercharged and the ss 2.4 4 door is lighter than the 2.0 supercharged 2 door. Good job on the race!
