I will be taking my car to Milan dragway soon and I have never been to any track before. Im wondering what kind of times I should expect. My car is a 98 r/t dohc and has: Intake, Magnaflow muffler, kirk longtube, mpx udp, ported and pollished intake mani, modded 52mm tb, self ported head, 3.94 trans, and a freshley rebuilt engine. And also how high should I rev without having to worry about something breaking? 6500??? Whats everyone think?

Rev higher than that, shift around 7000-7200. I took my NYG to 7500 all the time and the only time the engine blew up was when it spun a bearing and I beat the hell out of it trying to blow it up. DOHC's have higher powerbands. Don't shift to 4th at the end, stick it out in 3rd since you'll likely trap around 89-91 mph. Prolly will run low-15's to low 16's.

here is some advice i got after my first runs ...

you aren't making peak power after 7000 rpm, running 3rd gear to 7800 rpm with make your ET slower.

shift at fuel cutt off or if you don't know where that is if you know your car well enough shift where you feel the car loosing it's power. Work on getting your 60's down and if you spin on launch let on the gas cuz that's all you'll end up doing

Drive around the burnout box also...

What tires will you be running with?

does the car only get to 89-91 in 3rd ?
cause i always seem to hit about 102-105 at the end of 3rd ?

Depends on pcm and trans combo. 3.94 will top out much earlier. If you got the 3.94 and the AFX race PCM you can hit like 120 in 3rd, right Skill?

Shifting at around 6500 in mine with the 3.94, I gotta shift into 4th though.

Toyo proxey 4s mounted on some heavy wheels.
Id like to come home with all four pistons. Do I have anything to worrie about with the stock rev limiter?

Yeah that makes a big difference. You can top out the speed limiter in 4th with the 3.55 at like 6300 rpm, where you need to hit 7k to top out in the 3.94.
