you must be talking about the dash tweeters right? and thats weird if you have 3 1/2in ones cause neons only come with two on dash tweeters and as for aftermarkets speakers my tweeters are factory still but i did the door and back window ones with dual and they work great!

A tweeter is usually mounted in the dash from the factory, but a 3.5 will fit iff you get the right ones. Some wont because the magnet or basket may get in the way, like my Fosgates. They're wayyyyyy too big to fit. But a cheaper pair will be small enough too fit.

every 1gn neon ive ever seen came with two 3.5 inch speakers on the dash. just go to a junk yard to get some. only 2 screws and a clip holding them in.

2 jvc arsenals in the back, mtx terminators in the doors. Found some audiopipes new at a pawn shop for $20 for the dash, they keep up well with the mtx's I do have a 4 channel amp in there to so that helps.
99 2 dr R/T DOHC coupe, all the bells and whistles...

The holes are for 3.5 inch speakers and most likely came with an adapter plate to mount tweeters. My blazer had 4x6 holes in the dash, but the LS had 1 inch tweeters mounted in plates instead.
