Im running 2 12" mtx subs, Pioneer 4 way 6x9's, and 3 way circles in the front. The speakers out power the subs but I dont like extreme bass jsut something tasteful. I couldnt be any happier with this set up. Speakers are crystal clear and before I had the subs everyone thought I had subs because of the amount of bass the 6x9's put out.
yea ^ its not hard at all to tune that. Very simlpe actualy. ever hear of a cross over Ladi3sman55?
My first system n my 82 subaru loyale consisited of 2 15"s and 212"s. Sounded great......

but even if you had a crossover you would still be canceling out some of the subs potential freq range.. i still stand strong about only running 1 size sub throughout a car. and i have many other to back me up on this.. i dont know the exact way to explain why it isnt good to mix subs but the second i mentioned that on a car audio forum people bashed me so i know there is a reason why you really shouldnt but i didnt really pay much attention to them and just decided they are right.. the ones saying this have been in the car audio game much longer than me so i wasn't going to argue with them.. i could probably get a thread for you guys on why you shouldnt if you wanted to know..

^ not if your a bass head like I. Also if you match up your front components correctly you can "listen to what they are saying"
Heres what I was rockin in my old neon years ago. Still have her but dont have the heart to weigh down my current car with this woofer and the GARGANTUAN 6 cubic feet box it needs.
Some pics, Cast Iron frame, TWIN spiders. Two voice coils. 1600 watts RMS. You can even adjust the upper spyder for high excursion (spl) or tighten it up for sound quality.
Cerwin Vega STROKER 18"
I miss hearing her.......

in my daily driver i have a dual ported bandpass with a set of subs from american.. sounds good at 1000watts. i also run rockfordfosgates in the rear and a set of high end pioneers in the fron. i can crank it all the way up with no distortion and hear every word they say........ the neon right now is supporting a flip out tv but it has no speakers in it as thats how i bought it. i will be buying memophis speakers for it as i think their warrentie program beats all plus i love their subs.. i got a 10 memphis pro to go init. i like bass hard hitting bass but not over kill
