rust killer?

Have a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

i found some rust on my hood of my new Neon. and before it gets too bad like on my green Neon, is there anyway to kill the rust? or get rid of it?

u can go to autozone and they should have a rust chemical if sanding doesnt get deep enough

sawzall.... hopefully you can sand it out. I have to do the same with my gf's sable it's getting some rust on one of the wheel arches.

rust is like cancer , the only way to rid of it is cut it out. period, or, if its surface rust, you have to sand it completly off. none of that rust stopper acid, shit on the store shelv works. its a gimmik.

New hood, that's what you need. I did the same stuff, sand, grind, rust killer, painted, still came back after 2 years. Now if you were just going to flip the car and needed a quick fix, the above steps will work........
