ok so my car is having brake issue (non abs) and i dont have brakes looked master cylinder was empty filled it got them back and then within in the next 2 days the master cylinder was empty again and if i fill it i get them back but then it goes empty quickly so is it a bad wheel cylinder or a leaky master cylinder or something else?

If it's leaking that bad, you should see a puddle of brake fluid somewhere. Or it could be rotted brake lines, which are the norm for these cars.

thats what i was thinking it may be your lines i had to redo the lines on my 95 stang, cheapest for you id sit the car in one spot put brake fluid in and pump your brakes and follow your lines and see if its leaking anywhere.

More than likely its going to be one of the back lines. All mine in the rear rusted but everything from there up was in great shape. I have the 95's had a either a recall on this or a TSB. I don't know what year your neon is but you should definetely be getting a puddle. My guess is in the rear though. My first failure was the metal line right before it switches to rubber on the rear driver side. About a year later I had another failure on the passenger side in the rear. This is a good reason to keep your emergency/hand brake well adjusted and in good working order. It does not require brake fluid to operate, mine saved my ass both times my brakes went out.

You could pull off the drum and check it. Or check the bleeder valve, make sure thats on right. Or just the nut that holds the brake line to the cylinder. You might get lucky.

Grab the tip of the bolt thing with pliers and hand turn the clip till it slides off. I wish I had a pic to show you.
