Help! I car jerks violently at times when shifting

Post by ricker91878 » Wed May 30, 2012 7:19 am

This has happened twice so far, last week when I went to shift from 4th to 5th and this morning when I went to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Anyone have any ideas it would definitely help, I'm a bit stupid when it comes to transmissions but wondering if my clutch is going any help would be appreciated thanks!

are you on the throttle while shifting? do you dump the pedal? or are you going smooth with it. best i can imagine is the trans strut on the back is way bad along with a trans mount. check those first.
It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom!

I baby it, and I'm not sure if it's the clutch or what the roll damper is 2 years old and I put new bushings on it about a year ago I do throttle it coming out of shifting and usually shift at 3-3500rpm so I don't know it's only done it twice so hoping it will hold out a bit longer.

try some new control arm poly bushings it helped with mine.
If everything seems to be in control, you're not going fast enough.

Soon to be fixed, my damn tires are coming apart! Put them on the back, alot better but won't last long, time to start putting some cash away for tires!
