dohc block with a sohc head
I built a 95 neon with a dohc block with a 03 r/t sohc head I shaved the head 40 an I got spark an got gas an the timing is dead on here's the mods I have in it #14 cam with a sohc mopar pcm under drive pulley long tube headers 60mm tb but I can't get it started it turns over nice has spark gas an timing is dead on but my coprtion is only 85 pis I need help if any one has any good tips with the set up that i have it should be about 11.16.1 compression witch should push way over 200 psi if any one can help me out that would be good thanx
Sounds like bent valves. Odd for a head gasket to leak evenly across all 4 cylinders. I have dohc pistons with an unshaved head and had 235, 230, 230, 235 psi when we checked mine last spring. .040 is a lot to take off when running dohc pistons, especially if you didn't file the dome but I have heard it done without issue. I am getting ready to install a Crane 007 and the guy that did my head recommended I not mill .040 off the head with dohc pistons even though people have. 007 has the same lift as the 14 but more duration. Has it ran at all?

Dohc pcm will work fine with a mag head. Sensors all work the same.
