Yes it's to big. For a n/a car. It would sound like a rally car to witch is pertty cool but not for a street use car.

i would say no, but for a neon it might be excessive. how much is the motor built? are we talkin fully race ported head and big valves with huge cams and itb's with blah blah blah... sayin fully built can mean many things. give a bit more specific on specs and we can help. we run a 3in exh on the mx6 with just cams and port work and its only a 2.5v6 and a 3 sounds damn nice. just need details.

Too big? No. Is bigger really better in this case? No.
It will be loud unless you choke it down with resonators or quiet muffler. The more you quiet it, the more restrictive it becomes. 3" is overkill for most Neons. The "must have some back pressure" thing is a myth, don't listen to it.

Well your setup is allso really lacking for a n/a car. Not trying to be rud but for a bore as big as that stage 2 cams Are really Harting you. I have stage 4s in my 2.4 setup. And I'm only running 2.5 inc.

uhm all motors have these. and i cant remember what "stage2" crane cams are... arent they 16's? and is your head work mild or what? it doesnt seam 3in would do you really any better than 2.5 inch or maybe 2.75 but at that point might as well do 3 right? and how much is your deck blocked? whats your c/r? not trying to be rude, but we have a formula for exhaust size and such with a bit more info.

i always stayed with my stock exhaust piping even when i boosted my RT. sounds good no lag no issues no problem. as i said before 1G neons where built better then 2G neons lol imo

its the 3inch turbo exhaust from ebay, Installed it on the car last weekend. As expected way to damn big, but it was cheap and full stainless. we'll see how well it holds up to the shitty roads here in germany, Thanks for the input guys. It's either Mopar or NO CAR

2.5" is ideal for any n/a 1g neon, built motor. Crower 3/4 race cams (something like crane 22's or 24's?) wouldn't even require bigger than 2.5"

Here's a funny story. On base there is a shopp that you can do all your own work at, and that's where ive been working on my car. my buddy and i cleaned up my engine bay while the motor was out and so we disconnected the power steering pressure line and return line from the rack and set them in a drain pan cuz they still had fluid in them... anyway after we cleaned everything up i closed the hood and put the drain pan under my car (also had the ps pump and pulley in it) and about 2 weeks later i opened the hood of my car and all my stuff is gone!! Some ass stole my entire ps system! so now i've got no ps and no ac, but at least i still have cruise control. Also i'm about 4hours away from the nurburgering. And im attacking it this summer i bought an HD go pro camera so i'll post the video this summer, wish me luck!
