Is this a good NA combo? What block prep work should I do?

Have a question about how to make horsepower going the all motor route, here's where to ask it.

Im about to build a NA 2.4 to drop in a 1gn coupe shell, What should I do to the block if anything? I plan on going with Eagle H beam rods, 12.1 forged pistons, crane 22's, fully ported head, long tube, Indy intake and 60 mm tb ,,UDP, fidanza light flywheel, A/FX race pcm, and a r/t 3.92 tranny...Is this a decent combo?

maybe try a itb setup with it and go mega squrit to tune it right.... also use 24ld injectors.... you would get some hella power with that setup combined with this i mentioned.

Thanks guys, speaking of tuning, how hard is it to tune the megasquirt? Also the cam gear adjusting, Is that something that needs to be done on a dyno? How do I know where to adjust them? The "tuning" is what scares me the most. I know there will be alot of it to do to make this work and its something new to me. I guess I will have lots of questions in the future...Hope I dont get too annoying...Thanks again..

With #22 cam's you are going to want to upgrade springs, retainers, and another thing get a valve job, maybe bigger valves...

i'd probably lean with a pt trans as opposed to an rt trans. driving hard i killed first gen trannies alot wheni still drove mine onthe street.

I would probably stay away from the fidanza flywheel and go with a spec or a competition personally, but again, thats me. I have a bad taste whenit comes to fidanza, too many broken cam gears and flywheels for my taste :)

As far as your direct question as to what to do to the block, crank scraper for sure, I dont recall what 2.4 pans moroso has available, but i'm pretty sure they do have one, that would be a wise investment as well.

12:1 with 22s, not a good combo. Need more cam (bad choice with a PCM) or less compression.
