Chikara is made by Hedman. I know alot of people that swear by Hedman, so ya I think they are good.

As far as compression goes, what are your plans for the motor, all motor, boost, nitrous, etc.

Chikara headers are worthless. They wont give any noticeable power increase. I had one on my first neon, didnt do a thing.

please say nitrous or N2O, NOS is a brand.

consider the nitrous as an add on. your not going to be able to tune the header for the nitrous.

as far as compression goes you can go up to 10.5:1 and be pretty safe on pump gas, sometimes if you can tune it right 12:1 is possible on pump gas. i do not know how that compression and nitrous will work in the detonation department.

12:1 with nitrous will be a pain in the ass ON race gas, on pump gas thats an explosion looking for a cylinder.

10.5:1 is doable, i would definatley recomend a megasquirt or emanage or something along those lines to control timing as that'll be the killer.

As far as headers go, the modern longtube is about the best off the shelf option right now, as its the only longtube readily available aside from kirk, and its stainless.

You can have a custom one built, but that does get costly. I've heard quotes anywhere from 650-1200 for a one off header, when i was gearing up to do mine i was looking at pricing int he 500 range but that was also with flanges and materials being ordered in batches to do 15-30 headers at a shot.

>12:1 compression and nitrous is very doable on race gas. this kind of setup is run everyday. whether it can be applied to a neon or not, i don't know.

depending on the shot yeah heh, i know my teammate was running a ton through a higher comp h series in his pro outlaw car last year.

Doesn't really matter if its a neon, honda, sbc whatever. I'm guessing this was talk on a street car.
