ok but what vacuum port? Know has yet to answer that part. Does it matter whichone is there a difference besides one having adjustment? I can't put it on if I'm not sure how to connect everything. Also can I use the pressure port on the fuel rail as the "supply" line? I have the tool to remove the valve from it as it's the same as on tire valve stems.....

yes you can use the shrader valve as part of your return line.

You need to locate 4 basic things on this regulator. Fuel IN, Fuel OUT, boost/vacuum reference, and base pressure adjustment. The base pressure adjust should be a screw that threads in and out of the housing. The boost/vacuum reference port can be figured out after the regulator is installed.

Install the regulator and set base pressure with the adjuster screw. Hook up a vacuum pump to one of the ports and apply vacuum and pressure. Whichever port responds is the one you need to use for boost reference. The regulator cannot be allowed to reference vacuum, so a check valve must be installed on the hose to allow a boost only reference.

The adjuster screw on one of the ports maybe for vacuum bleed or boost bleed.

As far as using the schrader valve on the rail, you can do it if you remove the valve. The fitting size is -4 AN. You will need to run a -4 AN line from there to the regulator inlet. The inlet looks like it may be a 1/4" NPT fitting.

Ok so let me set this up in order from supply to motor.

1. Fuel pump
2. Line into fuel rail and injectors
3. From rail to Regulator
4. From regulator back to pump for return

From that point I can use a pump to check which vacuum port on the regulator responds to boost, with pressure it should increase the pressure. The Hex head on the regulator should adj. base pressure....(what is a safe base pressure to start with?)

Did I get all that right?

I hope so....

You know I find it interesting that the last Neon I had didn't need this stuff or if it did it never showed any of these problems .....

depends on the injectors your using. stage 1 srt4's like around 19 psi base... but it would all depend on what your running for injectors. thats why the wide band is usefull.

ok. I would just connect the pressure meter to the schrader valve but if I'm using that as feed to the regulator that might be kinda difficult....

hu? use the shrader valve with the core removed to theregulator. their should be a extra port on the regulator to put the fuel pressure gauge on it.

Nope not that I see. It has the 2 vacuum ports, IN and OUT. The one vacuum port has the adjustment screw but that's all.......
