This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons? just anything that is generally "engine" specific.

Post by schoolhouseneon » Fri Apr 27, 2012 5:04 pm

what all would i need to swap a 2.4 head on a 2.0 dohc block and how difficult would it be?

classic.
any how, the heads really dont differ, so swaping one is rellatively pointless. but swapin a 01 and later head to a 00 and earlier head is not a good idea, so if your thinkin of swapin an srt head to your 2.0, dont.

Depends what 2.4 head you're talking about. There are 3 different 2.4 heads from 95-10. You have the early style 95-99 head that is completely the same as all 2.0 DOHC heads, then you have the bastard AB block heads from 00-02ish, which have early oil passages but later style intake and exhaust manifold flange patterns., then you have 03-10 which had NGC style oil passages and later style intake and exhaust manifold flange patterns.
