There ya go. The second one is actually a 3.0 tube with a bit of the stock one that was cut and clamped on

ok so what vehicle did the 3.0 tube come off of? looks like it would work decently enough

It came off of a 3.0 Chrysler vehicle. Caravan, shadow, etc. This one came off a caravan. It's easy enough to modify your stocker though

how would i modify the stock one exactly?

If you look at the third picture, you can see where I cut one and added a stock full length one to it. All you need is that inital 90 degree bend.

if i click over to pic 54 after clicking on the third one is that where it will mount up to? cus i drive in to much rain to be trusting that lol

Ah, if you live somewhere rainy, this is NOT the intake for you and instead should consider the 3.0 with a shorter lower piece. If you're worried about the rain really bad though, you could cut a hole similar to the one with the resonator that's more up near the battery and use a small filter up there. Just like the AEM by-pass one, this has the cold air intake, but when the lower filter is submerged, the engine still gets air instead of water.

so im thinking about kind of doing what you did in the first pic with the stock intake cut and put it right in front of the battery with a cone filter though. not running underneath of the battery at all just right in front.

I don't think there's enough room. But you may want to try it.

Hell, buy my head! You won't lose compression, and you'll have the DOHC. Just need a modified SRT4 intake manifold that will use the 1gn throttle body, and then a PT exhaust manifold will work fine. It'll pick up some good ponies =)

i could swear i heard that you cant use the dohc head on the sohc. cus wouldnt i need a wire harness and computer to?

It fits just fine, you just need a DOHC head gasket. The wiring harness is fine, you just need to extend the coolant temperature sensor wires. Also, a DOHC computer will help with timing and fuel to take advantage of the combustion chamber shape which can take more timing due to the spark plug being angled down at a 90 degree angle with the piston top AND in the center of the combustion chamber. It will make a bit more power than your stock SOHC head. Mainly because it's ported out.

well i would...... but........ im broke, i have food money and thats about it lol. well for now atleast. im not to overly worried about it. really as far as performance all i plan to do is a intake, exhaust, and eventually a cam, and a 5 speed. atleast for my 97. the 96 i dont know what im gonna do yet. still in debate about the srt-4 or the v-8 but i am slowly leaning more towards the srt-4 swap.

This head will make it look like you have an SRT swap. It's a great head... I just can't use it right now and need the money =/
