If u have the head off, you have to replace the gasket. Sounds to me like you have everything there boss.

good luck

Why replace the head gasket if it isn't blown? Your 99 came with an MLS gasket that is very stout. If its not blown, just do the timing belt and water pump. The valvetrain is also very durable, so unless there is something wrong you are kind of wasting your time and money. A compression and leak-down test will reveal most problems, so you may want to do those before you start anything.

well im definately losing a little coolant and its not leaking newhere external. in the early morning when i start it up it puffs out white smoke when i first start driving it but doesnt after about 15secs or less and it smells like coolant. also i have a random missfire in all 4 cylinders so i figured id take the time to check that out too. plus i drive 20miles to work and gotta get back too and dont want it to break on me. i plan on doing the compression test soon before i do the headgasket but figured i might as well do it since ill have it off neways. i appreciate all input thanks, helps me from making impulse decisions
