Personaaly with a little cutting and splicing anything really is possible. Not sure how well the car would run though. You'd have to wire the Torque Converter switch, and you'll most definatley run rich.....

Then no. There is one pin thats different between 96 and 97-99 ecu's.
Unless you want to get into pin swapping(not worth it) then it's not going to work.

my buddy has no idea what year the car is cuz hes retarded but whatever year it is my R/T ecu works just fine in his single cam atx

R/T PCM will work on all 97-99 neons. ATX cars will loose the lock-up capabilities of the torque converter (unless an external switch is wired). It will also work on most 96 neons, however a pin in the wiring harness will need to be switched. This pin is for the fan relay control, so it is very important. Swapping the pin is easy. The R/T PCM will not work in a 95 neon.

ok thats good to know thx for the help, as far as the fan for now its winter and cold out so it wont be needed untill spring i guess, i really dont care cuz its not my car and hes to lazy to give me the vin to find out what year it was made so thats on him now lol careless car owners especially with neons i dont like
